Delete Account & Data

1. How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your Pooferi account directly from the app. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the Pooferi app
  2. Go to Settings (tap your profile icon, then the gear icon)
  3. Scroll down and tap "Delete Account"
  4. Confirm your identity by entering your password
  5. Tap "Permanently Delete Account" to confirm

Your account will be scheduled for deletion immediately upon confirmation.

2. What Happens When You Delete Your Account

When you request account deletion, the following actions are taken:

Immediately

  • Your account is deactivated and you are logged out
  • Your profile is no longer visible to other users
  • You cannot log in with your credentials

Within 30 Days

  • All personal data is permanently deleted from our systems
  • Your posts, comments, and shared content are removed
  • Your messages in private conversations are deleted
  • Your profile information (name, photo, biography) is erased
  • Your group memberships and channel subscriptions are removed

3. Data That Is Deleted

4. Data That May Be Retained

In accordance with legal requirements, certain data may be retained beyond the 30-day deletion period:

  • Transaction records: Financial transaction logs may be retained for up to 10 years as required by tax and commercial regulations
  • Legal compliance data: Data required by court orders or ongoing legal proceedings
  • Anonymized analytics: Aggregated, non-identifiable statistical data may be retained for service improvement

5. Active Subscriptions

If you have an active subscription:

  • Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your App Store or Google Play subscription
  • You must cancel your subscription separately through your device's subscription settings before deleting your account
  • iOS: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > Pooferi > Cancel
  • Android: Google Play Store > Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > Pooferi > Cancel

6. Request Data Deletion via Email

If you are unable to access the app, you can request account and data deletion by email:

  1. Send an email to info@pooferi.org
  2. Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
  3. Include the email address associated with your Pooferi account
  4. We will verify your identity and process the request

Email deletion requests are processed within 30 days of identity verification.

7. Account Recovery

Once the 30-day deletion period has passed, your account and data cannot be recovered. If you change your mind within the 30-day window, contact us at info@pooferi.org to cancel the deletion request.
